Author Dawn Clark
Squiggly is making his rounds around the blogosphere as his creator has embarked on a blog tour.
Dawn Clark‘s book Squiggly Gets Glasses was released on April 23, 2014. Squiggly is the story of a squirrel whose life changes when he gets glasses.
We asked Dawn what made her want to become a writer.
“I am almost 50 and I still have a great imagination. When my children and I made up stories about the squirrels in our backyard we had so much fun. I have always taught my own children to dream big and that is what I did when I submitted my manuscript to BQB.”
Some of Dawn’s favorite books?
“Favorite books … hmmm I would definitely say Mark Teague is my favorite children’s author. I love Pigsty … talk about using your imagination … Mark always does. Schnitzel Von Krum by Lindley Dodd. Howard B. Wigglebottom by Howard Binkow. All of these books have the characters using their imagination, learning lessons and having fun doing it.”
