April has been a rough month. My husband lost his uncle earlier in the month and last week my aunt passed away. Cancer times two. Horrible. It has been very hard on our cousins on both sides of our families. Grief, in its best description, feels like a screwdriver between the eyes and a chainsaw through the heart. In its worst description, well, let’s not go there.
Sometimes we don’t know what to say to someone who is grieving. Or how to offer help. But it is important to let them know that we care. And for each person ‘caring’ comes in a different form. Here are several books by authors who were willing to share their grieving processes. Each offers a different story and might just be exactly what is needed if you have friends or family members who are grieving.
