Last night the air felt so crisp I donned a pair of fuzzy socks and closed a few windows. Not all of them, but just the ones on the west side of the house where the cool air was sneaking inside. I love fall and everything it brings: the sweetest apples, pumpkins, changing leaves and of course – new fall book releases!
Without making you wait any longer, here are the Fall Fiction Releases from BQB Publishing:
Crisanta Knight: The Severance Game by Geanna Culbertson
– A lot of questions ran through my head as I desperately clung to the roof of a magic train crossing over a gaping canyon. Like: How did I get here? What could I have done to avoid this fate? And, did I remember to shave my underarms before coming on this quest?
But even after taking on a witch in a gingerbread house, bloodthirsty actors, and a whole mess of magic hunters and other fairytale shenanigans, the biggest, most pressing question pulsing through my brain as my fingers started to slip and my enemy bore down on me was this:
Could I really trust the person whose life I’d ruined to keep me from falling?
With antagonists closing in, inner demons threatening to consume me, and vivid nightmares chewing up my soul every time I shut my eyes, I was running out of options.
I knew the moment to decide whether or not I could truly trust any of my friends was fast approaching. But my head and heart were stuck. For just like the precarious position I now found myself in, the pain of holding onto the path I’d chosen thus far was outmatched only by the worry I had over (gulp) letting it go…
This is a fantasy adventure for young adults – the second in the series. – Releasing December 6, 2016.
Into the Light by Kathryn Ascher
– Jackson Harris fell in love with his best friend’s sister, but at her brother’s request, he stepped out of her life to clean up his act. When he was ready to declare his love to her, she rejected him, sending him back into a tailspin of bad behavior. Four years later, he’s focused on his struggling band and the women who want him, while still trying to forget the one who didn’t. When she suddenly shows up as his band’s new manager, he realizes that, despite his best efforts, his feelings for her haven’t changed a bit.
Kerrigan Dodd has spent the past four years living in Europe, trying to forget that Jackson, the only man she’s ever loved, walked out of her life six years earlier. After returning home, the last thing she expected was that her new job was to manage his failing band. To make matters worse, she barely recognizes the boy she fell in love with in his band persona, and the prospect of spending so much time with him has her questioning her ability to do her job.
As Jack and Kerrigan work to turn the band around, they struggle to overcome the secrets that have kept them apart. Just when they’re coming together, on both fronts, other forces conspire to keep them from reaching their goals. Will they be able to put the past behind them and clear the way for their future? Or are their current differences too much to move beyond?
This contemporary romance is the third in The Rocky Creek Series. – Releasing October 4, 2016.

Watching the Water by Donna Gentry Morton
– In “Watching the Water,” book 1 of the Heart Tide series, Julianna Sheffield is a rogue wave, one that doesn’t want to land on the shore it seems destined for.
It’s 1934 and the currents pushing her include an unscrupulous father determined to keep the family solvent during the Great Depression, a mother suffocated by the bubble of high society, and a greedy fiance’ named Leyton, who is proving why his name rhymes with Satan. Julianna longs to chart a different course. She wants to help the widows, farmers, and polio victims her family forced into the bread lines. She wants to exchange teacups for drinking milk from the jug. And she dreams of a man named Jace McAllister, another rogue wave who wants to love her but fights the seas bringing them together.
Jace also has a heart for those who are Depression-weary, but his method of helping includes retribution. His reasons are his own, but connected to Julianna’s family. For this seemingly doomed couple, moving forward brings on storms of rage, moral dilemmas, and difficult personal growth. Their love could be the kind that is impossible to live out. . .or the kind from which legends are born. The outcome of their journey depends on how carefully they navigate the waters.
“Seeking the Shore,” the second and final book in this series will release in Spring 2017.
This historical romance will take readers on a stormy ride. – Releasing November 22, 2016.
