Picture books don’t usually fit inside stockings, but they still make great gifts. Stories of Santa Clause, Rudolph, Elves and all their friends are great to read with children and grandchildren while snuggling near the lights of a Christmas tree.

In our garage we keep boxes of lights, ornaments and decorations and in separate box we keep all our Christmas books. Every year the kids are so excited to open this box and find their old favorites. The Grinch, Mooseltoe and Frosty are all welcomed back with joy.

Here are a few Christmas books with delightful illustrations that are sure to become favorites in your household as well:

More about the Author:  Early in her career as an elementary school teacher, Cheryl Campbell recognized the power of books and reading. She realized with her own two children that children who are read to at an early age are encouraged to read on their own, and that books and reading spark creativity, imagination, and verbal skills.

Her first children’s books, Darling the Curly Tailed Reindoe and Darling Saves Christmas, are quickly becoming a holiday favorite for children. Her third book, Billy Mouse’s Christmas Stocking, follows the adventures of Billy Mouse as he has to make a tough decision!

Cheryl was born in the Chicago area and now lives in Florida with her husband, Don.
